Event Volunteers

If you are unable to swim, but are still able to help us by volunteering at the event, please register on-line. Below are just some of the opportunities we have available for volunteers.

We encourage all of our volunteers to join us in the celebration feast and receive recognition at the awards ceremony.

It takes dedicated team of volunteers to run the event and ensure the safety of the swimmers...

Safety / Boat Support Team

We are in need of both kayakers and small boat (Boston Whaler size) water safety assistance craft.

The Chesapeake Paddler’s Association is spearheading the efforts to organize kayak volunteers. See their web site or contact Rich Stevens for more info. Additionally, stand-up paddle boarders are welcome to assist. All on-water safety support team members must wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) during the duration of the on-water event.
